Mumbai: The forensic report of legendary actress Sridevi, who passed away on February 24 in Dubai, has been released to her family and the Indian Consulate representative. The reports reveal that the ‘English Vinglish’ actress did not die of cardiac arrest but due to accidental drowning.
Sridevi breathed last on Saturday in Dubai. The veteran actress was there to attend nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding. She was found unconscious in a bathtub full of water in a bathroom of hotel Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
Earlier, there were reports that the veteran actress died of cardiac arrest but her death certificate has confirmed that she did not suffer cardiac arrest. Sridevi’s family members, however, had confirmed that she had no history of any sort of heart diseases.
According to reports, doctors have said that Sridevi died of accidental drowning and there is nothing suspicious about the way she died. The report also claimed that there were traces of alcohol in her body.
Sources say that the family members will be handed over the body after submitting the documents.
