Patna: Amid very tight security, on Monday, cinema halls in Patna started screening filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’.
“We will not allow anyone to create trouble for screening of ‘Padmaavat’,” Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj said.
As per sources, the screening of Padmaavat has started in Cinepolis and Mona cinema hall in the state capital a day.
According to reports, two petrol pumps were hurled at a cinema hall in Binhar’s Muzaffarnagar, where the movie was running.
‘Padmaavat’ was not screened in Patna and across Bihar due the continuous protests by the Karni Sena and other Rajput groups against the flick. The cinema halls also stopped the online booking and advance booking of the tickets.
Sources reveal that two petrol bombs were hurled at Shyam Cinema Hall on Sunday for screening the movie. There were 400 people inside the cinema hall but no one got injured in this incident.
