IPL Auction 2018: Ben Strokes goes to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 12.50 crore | Check out the list here

Bengaluru: The much awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 mega auction took place on Saturday, here. The list is out and Rajasthan Royals bought Ben Strokes at a whopping amount of Rs 12.50 crore while Manish Pandey and KL Rahul were the most expensive Indian buys with Rs 11 crore each

The IPL Governing Council finalised 578 players to go to the auction.

There will be eight teams after the two-year contracts of Gujarat Lions and Rising Pune Super Giants ended and the two-year suspension of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).

Biggies like Chris Gayle, Joe Root, Lasith Malinga, Hashim Amla and Martin Guptill remained unsold so far.
CSK has bought 11 players, DD 15, KXIP 10, KKR 12, MI 9, RR 9, RCB 14 and SRH has 16 at the end of day one of the auction.

A team has to buy at least 18 players while 25 players is the maximum a team can acquire. The franchises have also been asked to buy not more than 8 overseas players.

IPL season 11 will began from April 18.
